Review of Episoft AC Moisturiser with Microencapsulated Sunscreen
Hello my lovely people!! It has been a while since I posted any reviews. Well, I am running around in search of super sunscreen which I still did not come across. But anyway, I would like to review few sunscreens which I used it recently. As you all know I have a very dry skin and I cannot live without a moisturiser.
So my search ended with Episoft AC Moisturiser with Microencapsulated SPF 30 Sunscreen by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. So it is basically a broad spectrum UVA/UVB moisturiser with sunscreen for acne prone skin. It comes in two strengths SPF 30 and SPF 50.
Episoft AC Moisturiser with Microencapsulated Sunscreen.

- It is water based. Excellent for dry acne prone skin.
- No whitecast. Yipeee!!
- Fragrance and paraben free. Again a plus for sensitive acne prone skin.
- It is easily water washable. Does not cling to your skin.
- It is non comedogenic, light weight moisturiser and is dermatologically tested.

- It contains a controversial ingredient Benzophenone-3 or Oxybenzone which might disrupt with the hormones.
- It says non-oily and non-greasy but my dry skin was super oily and greasy after 3-4 hours of applying the moisturiser.
Good thing is you do not have to layer it up as the it contains sunscreen and moisturiser in one product. It did give a good sun protection when I was out in the sun for good 3-4 hours. No tan or redness whatsoever. It gives an immediate matte look but definitely not for all skin types as my dry skin was super oily after few hours of application. Minuscule amount needs to be applied all over the face or it can get very oily. Texture is not very runny and beautifully sits on the skin when applied. If the company is following the recommended usage or limits of Benzophenone-3 then it might be safe to use this sunscreen. Priced at Rs. 522/- and is available in all the pharmacies and online stores. I am still experimenting and do not know if I want to stick to this sunscreen. Till then keep shinin ![]()
